The Ontario Prospectors Association (OPA) is entering a new era.
Over the past 14 months, a volunteer Steering Committee has been actively working to stabilize and revitalize the Association. This work has included governance restructuring, improved transparency, and setting the groundwork for a sustainable and inclusive future.
As part of this transition:
- Bill MacRae, P.Geo. has stepped in as Interim Executive Director to support operations during this transition – Garry Clark is no longer serving as Executive Director

- We are recruiting new Board members to help shape a modern, transparent, and values-driven organization – LINK TO Presentation
- We’re rebuilding our committees – First Nations/Policy/Governance, Finance, Membership, and Education, Land use -and welcome your involvement.
This is an opportunity to rebuild OPA with integrity, purpose, and fresh energy. Whether you’re a prospector, geologist, investor, community partner, or student- we want you involved.
