On January 9, 2026, the OPA held its first-ever Virtual AGM. The turnout and engagement were a clear sign of the support for the changes we are making to ensure the Ontario Prospectors Association is a modern, member-focused organization.
This meeting was a productive step in our ongoing renewal. During the session, we approved the 2024 financial statements, appointed auditors, voted in new Directors and I had the pleasure to introduce myself as the new OPA CEO.
Welcoming Our New Directors
I am pleased to welcome Emma Vincent Croft, Carl Nagy, Dylan Moore and Cameron Grant to the OPA Board. This group brings fresh perspectives and focus to our leadership team as we work to build a stronger, more influential Association.
Your Feedback: Membership Survey Now Live!
As we move into a new chapter of strategic planning and brand re-envisioning, your input is vital. We have launched a membership survey to capture your priorities and ensure our path forward reflects the needs of the prospecting community. If you have not received the survey yet, please contact us.
Building a stronger OPA
The work of the Board and the Revitalization Committee over the past 18 months has provided the stability we need for a robust future. While there is more to accomplish, we are now better positioned to lead the exploration and development sectors in Ontario and provide tangible value to our members. In the months ahead, you can expect several important initiatives:
- a strategic planning process to set our long-term path
- a re-envisioning of the OPA brand that honours our legacy while looking forward
- greater engagement with the Ontario Government and other key stakeholders
These efforts are designed to deliver tangible value to you, our member and to strengthen the OPA as a trusted and effective voice for Ontario’s prospecting community.
We will continue to share updates on our progress as we look toward our next AGM in June.
Thank you for your continued engagement and support.
The future is ours to discover.
