The Ministry’s vision for strengthening Ontario’s economic sovereignty and leadership in critical minerals.
The Ministry of Energy and Mines is hosting a series of information sessions to provide an overview of Ontario’s emerging vision for the next phase of the Critical Minerals Strategy and to offer an opportunity to hear early thinking and share perspectives on key priorities across the critical minerals value chain.

Each session will include a presentation followed by two 30 minute virtual breakout sessions, which participants may select in advance here: Virtual Breakout Sessions – Fill out form. Breakout discussion topics will include:

- Supporting Critical Mineral Exploration
- Enabling Infrastructure / Ontario’s Energy and Digital Infrastructure Future
- Workforce Constraints
- Regulatory and Policy Reform
- Value Chain Development
- Innovation
- Supporting Partnership Opportunities with Indigenous Communities
(Note: Participants will attend two breakout sessions; preferences will be used for planning purposes.)
During breakout discussions, participants are encouraged to share diverse views and experiences. Input received through these sessions will help inform ongoing policy development.
